Merchant of Venice at Patchings is a peaceful Italian restaurant and café inside the art centre – a calm alternative to the city, with freshly prepared dishes in a warm, welcoming room.
Expect handmade pasta, pizzas, desserts and artisan coffee inspired by classic Italian recipes, served from breakfast to dinner. It’s a favourite stop after the galleries and trails – and a relaxed setting for couples, families and groups.

Wednesday 11 November 2026, 7pm – a guided Italian wine tasting with small plates paired to each wine. £25 per person; spaces are limited.
Christmas Party Nights
21 November 2026 and 5 December 2026 – a festive three-course dinner with live music, a close-up magician and dancing. £39 per person.
